Covid-19 Lock-down : Lagos Goes Tough on Violators, Seals Cubana Niteclub, others.

Lagos State Safety Commission has sealed Cubana Nightclub in Ikeja and some other facilities in the state for violating its new safety orders put in place to prevent against second wave of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic.

The commission also sealed off “De Corner”, an entertainment joint along Admiralty way in Ikoyi for similar violation of regulations for preventing the spread of the pandemic. The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on New Media, Gawat Jubril gave this hint on his twitter page on Saturday evening.

With the upsurge in the cases of infected persons, the state government had rolled out new protocols to be observed in the state, among which is the continuous closure of Nite Clubs in the state.

The government new protocol also included the ban on concerts, carnivals and street parties until further notice. Other restrictions include limitations on the the number of worshipers in churches and mosques.

There is a palpable fear that the state Nigeria risks entering the second wave of the disease in the following weeks as countries places ban of the UK and other highly infested European countries.
