Hon. Alli Adeyemi Taofeek, FCIA, MHR-Representing Mushin Federal Constituency 1 has expressed his condolences to the family of a progressive leader, former and first civilian Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji AbdulLateef Kayode Jakande.

It was reported that the former governor died early hour of 11th of February, 2021, at age 91.
While describing the groundbreaking achievements of the late former Governor, Hon. Alli stated that Baba was the brains behind the New Lagos.
He said as the governor of the state of excellence, his legacies-free education, low-cost housing estate, security, and many other things that benefit the good people of Lagos State and Nigeria would ever be remembered.
He said the Late Alhaji AbdulLateef Jakande was a man of innumerable qualities.
“His policies have always been a trademark for his personality as a political icon, who spent and bequeathed indelible invaluable legacies,” Hon. Alli said.
He earnestly prayed that Almighty Allah reposes the gentle soul of Baba Jakande and grant the entire family members, the progressive family, All Progressive Congress political leaders, and all party members the fortitude to bear the loss.
“May Allah grant him Aljanaah Firdaus,” Hon Alli prayed.
