Olubadan of Ibadan land Oba Saliu Adetunji has declared that the Sarkin Sasa Haruna Mai Yasin Katsina is a mere chief in the council of the Baale of Sasa Chief Amusa Ajani.

The revered monarch had during a peace meeting with members of the Hausa/Fulani community over the crisis that engulfed the Sasa market last month instructed that henceforth, the Serikin Fulani must understand the leadership structure in Ibadanland placed the Serikin Fulani and any other non-Yoruba leader in the ancient city as lower and under the control of the Baale.
Represented by the Otun Olubadan High Chief Lekan Balogun, who led other high powered delegation to the peace parley, the monarch urged the Hausa/Fulani leader to operate under the Baale for smooth administration and structural peace.

The monarch noted that the pre-eminent position granted the Serikin Sasa in the scheme of things in the state was unbecoming, and warned the relevant authorities to know and accept the fact that the community leaders are under the Baale of Sasa, who is the representative of the Olu’badan in his community,
