“Election into the offices of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Councillors in the 20 Local Government Councils and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State is scheduled to hold in July 2021″

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) said it has secured the approval of the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to conduct the much-awaited local governments’ elections.
The development was made known by the LASIEC Chairman, Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips (Rtd), in a statement on Tuesday. The statement also revealed that local governments and local councils’ elections have been scheduled for July 2021.
Saying that the statutory notice for the elections will be published soon, Justice Ayotunde Phillips (Rtd) told the media that “election into the offices of Chairman, Vice Chairman and Councillors in the 20 Local Government Councils and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State is scheduled to hold in July 2021.
The Chairman also said that as a statutory body charged with the responsibility of managing and administration of public office elections, it’s committed to doing fair snd credible elections into the local government’s councils.
“The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) the body charged with the statutory responsibility of electoral management and administration is committed to conducting a free, fair, credible, and inclusive election”
