The scion of the Fela Kuti family and Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti and his son, Made, have been nominated for the 64th Grammy awards scheduled to hold on January 31, 2022.

The reports reaching Pegasus Reporters indicated that while Femi Kuti is nominated in the Best Global Music Performance category for the song ”Pa Pa Pa”, he is sharing with his son, Made, the nomination in the Best Global Music Album for their song ”Legacy”.

With this nomination, Femi Kuti will be in a contest with fellow Nigerian, Burna Boy who hold the Grammy title for the Global Music award for 2020.

Other African arts who got nomination include Rocky Dawuni, Daniel Ho & Friends and Angelique Kidjo.

Femi Kuti has got several nominations in the past but has not won any Grammy Award.
