“Surely, We showed him the Right Path, regardless of whether he chooses to be thankful or unthankful (to his Lord)” -Quran, Al-Insan (The Man) [76]:3 - SHOWING GRATITUDE
…”This is by the grace of my Lord so that He may test me whether I give thanks for (His Bounty) or act with ingratitude. Whoever is grateful is so to his own good; and whoever is ungrateful, let him know that my Lord is Immensely Resourceful, Most Bountiful.”-Quran, An-Naml (The Naml) [27]:40 - OVERLOOKING BLESSINGS?
“And when harm touches you upon the sea, those that you call upon besides Him vanish from you except Him (Allah Alone). But when He brings you safely to land, you turn away (from Him). and man is ever ungrateful.” Quran, Bani Isra’il (The Israelites) [17]:67 - ALLAH GAINS NOTHING FROM PUNISHING HIS PEOPLE IF THEY GIVE THANKS TO HIM
“Why should Allah deal chastisement to you if you are grateful to Him and believe? Allah is All-Appreciative, All-Knowing. Quran, An-Nisa (The Women) [4]:147 - CAN WE AFFORD TO BE UNGRATEFUL?
“It is He who sends down rain from the sky, and with it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it We bring forth thick clustered grain…. Look at their fruits when then begin to bear, and the ripeness thereof.”-Quran, Al-An’am (The Cattle) [6]:99 So, which of the favours of your Lord would you deny? -Quran, Ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) [55]:13 - SAYING OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (SAW)
It was reported that the Prophet (SAW), stayed up all night, standing until his feet became swollen. When he was asked, “Why are you doing this when Allah has forgiven all your past and future wrong actions?” He, (SAW) replied: ”Should I not be a grateful slave?” [Recorded in al-Bukhari and Muslim] - OUR DUA
Our Lord, do not condemn us if we forget or make a mistake…and pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy on us”- Quran, Al-Baqarah (The Cow) [2]:286
