It is so funny that while the rich have taken a stand, knowing who they want. The poor too, who actually depend on the middle class to help them make up their minds, have also moved on. They have taken a stand! But the middle class is still confused, fighting all over social media, maligning every candidate (but never making up their mind on who to support), and saying they are keeping their choice close to their chest.

The Middle Class in Nigeria tends to arrogate so much authority to themselves. The reason might not be far-fetched. We are the most educated, most vibrant, and are actually the tools for making any company, government, institution or nation move either positively or otherwise. We are so warped (always was, always will be) in our thoughts and never ready to die for anything but sit on the fence and argue blindly without any head. Before the Buhari government came, we watched as others lined the streets, fighting to bring the man in(some of us joined though but with no serious belief). Once we achieved our aim and got the necessary settlements, we became so deaf and indisciplined with our newfound wealth to the point that we have helped push this country to the point of a precipice.
We are so polluted that anything we touch becomes rotten. See what we are doing with our children now in schools. We spoil our children silly, expose them to immoral lives and when we can’t handle the situation, we blame it on every other person except ourselves. We enjoy sitting on the fence and criticising everything and everyone, never taking a position but always ready to send in our CVs and press the necessary buttons to get that job, contract or position. We actually stink to the high heavens. But it has become our perfume.
Obafemi Awolowo was one of us. He worked with members of our club hoping to bring the necessary massive positive change. But when he died, we said ‘he was the Best President Nigeria NEVER had!’
Story!
MKO Abiola did everything for this country, building a new set of middle-class leaders, well. respected across the world. He knew where the shoe pinched and he wanted to change lives and move our country to the next stage of greatness. What happened? Our middle class, conniving with the powers that be, KILLED him after winning an election many of us badmouthed! Today, we remember him with a holiday. But the man wanted to do something exceedingly great!
We killed his dreams for us!

*Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC national Leader & frontline presidential contestant in 2023 general elections
Now here comes Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is one of us, learnt the ropes, took charge of a commercial state, moved it to become the 5th largest economy in Africa, with the hopes of doing much more for the country, he wants to be President. He picked some of us, made us leaders of thought and economy, and put them on the world map. Today, while they criticise him, he keeps quiet. When they betrayed him, he took them back. He wiped the tears of one who had given up and guaranteed his success to be President. After two years on the throne, they abandoned him. He left them to their actions. But they came calling a year to reelection. They used us to beg him knowing he has a large heart. He took them back and helped with reelection. What did they do again?…..
He became a democratic leader who takes criticism as his tonic of change, of progress. But the same middle class he has been mixing with and beating the wrought for to become something, are the ones doing everything to END him!
They are still at work!
Lies! Very big lies!
In their confusion, they are bating their time, waiting to see where the pendulum will swing then begin to shout themselves hoarse as if all along, they had their minds made up.
It is why we are where we are today!
The middle class in Nigeria is the most criminally minded set of humans who have dragged this country to where it is today! Will they change?
No!
Why?
Because many of our middle class are very bent and corrupted and have lost all forms of decency! For them to change, they need to be stripped of all their other options for survival. I. e. the opportunity to travel out of the country to other climes. Of course, those countries won’t stop them. They need their brains and the strength of their betrayal tendencies to work assiduously to move their own country forward. If you meet Nigerians outside these shores, they are always the loudest in saying nothing can work in Nigeria. They spit unprintable words about their country of birth without any care and they even teach their young ones to do the same. Yet, the idiots became who they are from the scholarships this same country gave them to become who they are.
I am not supporting those in government for not doing the right things. But, really they are actually the same middle class. Having some billions in your account (stolen or made) still does not move you out of the class. Only when you have provided for others to become worthy citizens can you claim to be out of the class.
In truth, the middle class is the BEST class anyone can be in only that when we want to be warped, we do it collectively. But we need to get the middle-class idiots to begin to think like the REAL middle class that usually moves a nation to the top. And it is very simple. Choose a side and defend it. Choose a leader, believe in him/her and fight like hell for your leader to get there. Even when your candidate doesn’t win, you would have died for something you actually believed in.
As for me, I am sticking with a candidate who. has raised LEADERS, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu! He must go all the way…. to the top!
