Popular British music channel, MTV Base has placed a ban on Marlian music following the controversial death of a Nigerian singer, Mohbad in which Naira Marley is a key suspect.
Marlian Music, a record label owned by Nigerian musician, Naira Marley is accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s sudden death even as more artists and friends of the controversial musician, who has a history of drug abuse and use abandon him. Besides, more revelations are emerging that beyond music, the music label has become a recruiting body for cultist activities.

It will be recalled that a former signee of Marlian Records, Mohbad, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, under mysterious circumstances.
Following the controversial death of the singer, some national radio stations have placed a “Not to Be Broadcast” (NTTB) ban on all the music under the Records Label.
Joining the growing list of music outlets that have banned Marlian music, a staff member of the MTV music channel and popular TV host, Ehizojie Okoeguale, aka DadaBoy Ehiz, made the announcement on Wednesday.
Nigerian youths have been on emotional rampage since the death of Mohbad and even holding a candlelight night in his honour on Thursday at Lekki in Lagos.
