The All Progressive Congress Candidate in Kwara State on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 received Alhaji Kazeem Ishaq Elewure, a former Legislative Aide to the former Senate President, Sen Bukola Saraki into the All Progressive Congress (APC).
At the ceremony marking the dumping of the held during the ward’s party weekly ward meeting, in Okaka ward 2, Ilorin South Local Government of Kwara State, Hon Elewure said his decision to leave the PDP to the APC is not unconnected with his readiness to work for the actualization of the political ambition of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He emphasized his love for the Asiwaju political ideology and promised to deploy his political wit and his teaming followers for the job.
Speaking with Pegasus Reporters, Hon. the former legislative aid said: “The only way I can actively participate with hundreds of my followers in actualizing this dream and contribute toward a total victory of the party in Kwara State is by ensuring that my ward and our supporters fall in line in the battles to ensure an Asiwaju presidency in 2023”
He noted that having left the opposition party, he and his followers are willing to contribute their quota towards making Kwara State better under the APC, thanking all the APC Party chieftains, candidates, members, and his followers that were present and in solidarity with him on the occasion of his decamping.
In her remarks, Hajia Maryam Yusuf Aladi, APC candidate for the Kwara State House of Assembly, Ilorin South Constituency, applauded the decision of Hon. Kazeem Elewure to leave the PDP for the APC, reiterating that it is a testament that even the opposition parties feel and acknowledge the great work being done under the present administration and deem it fit to ensure the trend continues.
She praised Hon. Kazeem Elewure for making the bold decision to join the progressive fold and calling for the collaboration of ideas from the Community leaders and stakeholders in taking Ilorin South and Kwara State to greater heights.
