Ahead of the inauguration of the new government in Edo State, Dr. Sunnie Aleghe, a prominent security expert and Executive President of Klass Security Group, has advocated for collective support and constructive contributions toward the upcoming administration, under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday in Klass Group’s corporate headquarters in Magodo, Lagos, where he unveiled plans to help youths develop vocational skills through interactive online classes, Aleghe emphasized the need for unity and collaboration among Edo people to drive the state’s development forward.
Aleghe highlighted the importance of tapping into the state’s youthful talent pool, advocating for vocational skill development through online platforms. He suggested that the new administration leverage emergent technologies to boost creativity and economic growth across sectors.

“Furthermore, I will encourage the new governor to engage a hardworking manpower base that takes into account the urgency to transform Edo to a modern state, in the context of the vision which he marketed himself to the people during the campaigns”, emphasized Aleghe.
Aleghe called on the governor-elect to prioritize key areas such as security, education, healthcare, agriculture, the digital economy, and women’s empowerment, stressing that these sectors are critical for attracting investment and driving inclusive development.
Additionally, Aleghe proposed engaging traditional and religious institutions to foster tolerance and harmony among Edo’s diverse communities. He urged citizens to participate in identifying governance inefficiencies and areas needing urgent improvement to strengthen the economy and build trust in the state’s governance.
Aleghe concluded by recommending the formation of an advisory think-tank to shape a sustainable development agenda, in line with Senator Okpebholo’s vision for the state’s future. He expressed optimism that such initiatives would significantly enhance the lives of Edo people
