LAGOS: Gov. Sanwo-Olu Nabs Three Street Robbers At Ojota

By Environmental Lagos Platform | JULY 12, 2021

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, Tuesday, July 12 arrested four street robbers who have been terrorizing motorists along the Ikorodu Road at Ojota.

The robbers who were “on duty” had cornered their victims and had actually struck at the ever-busy Ojota highway Lagos wielding their machete as frightened commuters prayed for mercy. Just then the convoy of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu arrived at the scene of the crime on his way to an official assignment.

*Nabbed!

It was too late for the three crooks to beat a hasty retreat on sighting the governor’s entourage as they attempted to flee but the vigilance and swift response of policemen escorts in the entourage promptly rounded up the criminals even as they were caught by the Governor and his security men in the very act of dragging a victim out of his vehicle.

They were promptly taken into custody.

It will be recalled that street robbery gangsters are springing up with the Lagos metropolis even as the police have not been known to have made any concerted effort to check the menace.
